Hanazono in Niseko Snow Depth at 800 metres above sea level is 345cms

Hanazono Ultimate Niseko Official snow depth on the 31st of January in Hanazono at 800 metres above sea level is 345cms... The Base at 308 in Hanazono is 200cms and the backcountry snow depth off Mt Annapuri Peak East Face is 400 cms plus. So much snow this season in Hanazono and the Pow is so so light and super dry n fluffy.

Its a calm beautiful morning in Hanazono and we had 25 cms of fresh overnight in Niseko

The Kissmark cup kicks off this morning in the Stomping Ground Half Pipe in Hanazono Niseko. 17 lifts are up and running with gates opening around 10am. Wind chill is down to -22 with a top of -5 degrees. Westerly winds tending southwesterly should be around 15 to 25km/hr. More significant snowfalls are forecast to begin late Sunday.

Its dumping Pow now in Hanazono Niseko & Light snow fell most of the day yesterday.

Light winds and snow are forecast for the weekend with heavier snow forecast early next week. Most lifts should be up and running with gates and the terrain park opening around 10am. Temperatures have dropped a little and wind chill is down to -24 with a top of -5 degrees. Westerly winds should be around 15 to 35km/hr.

The outlook suggests light snowfalls right through the weekend with moderate winds which is good news for the Kissmark Cup and Hokkaido Half Pipe Championships on here at Hanazono this weekend. 17 lifts are up and running with gates and the terrain park opening around 10am. Fresh tracks were found on the weekend in Niseko with great conditions

We have had 5 - 10 cms overnight  and Winds are forecast to pick up tonight and easing around Thursday.  Good snowfalls are predicted. Some fresh turns on the lower parts of the mountain in Strawberries and blueberries will be ideal over the next few days.

Adventure Park activities are running.  Most lifts should be spinning.
Wind chill is down to - 28 degrees with a day time high of - 7.
Westerly winds should be moderate around 20 to 30km/hr however gusting up top at times. Snow is forecast right through the weekend making for good powder turns.

The snow is falling quite heavy now in Niseko and the winds are strong up top

Another great day again yesterday out on the mountain in Niseko

The forecast suggests some possible brief showers turning to snow. 
Around the mountain: Most lifts and the Terrain Park should be up and running with some opening later due to wind at the top of the mountain. Snowmobiling and Adventure Park activities will be fun and open.  Wind chill is down to -11 with a top of -2 degrees. Southwesterly winds tending westerly should be around 15 and gusting to 50km/hr.

A beautiful day yesterday with fresh tracks to find around the mountain

We had some light snowfalls overnight and we should see a partly sunny day ahead.
Around the mountain: Most lifts and the Terrain Park should be up and running. The peak gates should open by 10am.  Wind chill is down to -17 with a top of -2 degrees. Westerly winds should be around 10 to 30km/hr during the day.
Winds are forecast to pick up tonight and ease off by Wednesday afternoon.  Snow is forecast about the top of the mountain tonight and tomorrow morning with lower snowfalls expected around midday.

It was another amazing Sunday, bluebird with fresh powder to ski and board in Niseko.

We had light snow overnight freshening things up a little.

A change is due Tuesday night bringing warmer temperatures. They should drop by Wednesday night With good snowfalls expected.

We have had some of the most awesome days of powder skiing and boarding. Conditions are at their best.

Around the mountain: The Half Pipe opens today and the Big Air is on. Most lifts should be up and running with top lifts opening a little later. Wind chill is down to -26 with a top of -7 degrees. West northwesterly winds should be around 20 to 40km/hr and easing as the day continues. 
Very deep conditions in the back country, amazing snow the next couple of days will be excellent.

The Amazing Powder Conditions continue, super light and super deep here in Niseko, what a season.

Massive amounts of the super dry white fluffy stuff in Niseko over the last 24hrs. With 60cms up on the peak. Top lifts shut now due to high winds but when they open bring a snorkel.. :))))))))

Fresh snow fell all day yesterday in Niseko and we have had around 20cms in the past 24hrs with more up top

The backcountry has some waist deep areas.

Light snow is forecast today easing tonight.  Heavier snowfalls with very cold temperatures down to -17 are due Wednesday night.

It was a fantastic weekend delivering over 50cms of fresh snow and waist deep in the back-country.

Around the mountain: Most lifts and The Terrain Park should be up and running with plenty of competitors getting ready for this weekends Big Air. 10cms overnight. Wind chill is down to -20 with a top of -6 degrees. Westerly winds should be around 10 to 20km/hr. 
The outlook suggests continual snowfalls with a low pressure system forecast to pass later in the week which is looking like it should deliver very cold temperatures and plenty of the white stuff our way.

Niseko : Powder TV goes Kendo

Training Kendo & using a Katana are all part of the daily training ritual that these students go through with their 83 yr old Master. Close by is Niseko which has awesome deep powder snow with a long season. Niseko (; -chou) is a town and ski resort located in Abuta District, Shiribeshi, Hokkaido, Japan. Niseko is widely regarded as the best ski resort in Japan for three main reasons: weather, size and infrastructure.

The wind has died off, it’s a beautiful day in Niseko and most lifts across Mt Annupuri should be spinning.

High winds and light snowfalls overnight have made for windswept surface areas today. There will be pockets of fun and it’s a beautiful sunny morning.

Around the mountain: Lifts are scheduled to be spinning however strong north easterly winds may see some open later in the morning as wind speeds decrease. Snowmobiling, sledding and tubing run everyday.
Wind chill is down to -16 with a top of -2 degrees.

A great morning out yesterday in Niseko on dry snow, we had a dusting overnight and it’s snowing now.

An awesome New Years with some wild stormy weather. Niseko has been dumped on, over a metre in the past 24hrs.
