Hanazono TV's weekly powder report 31/01/09

Temperatures should be below zero overnight, and the terrain mostly dry, powdery and compact on groomed runs.   Conditions across all resorts should see most lifts spinning for the week.  Temperatures should remain cool with the average wind chill down to around minus 17 with a maximum temperature of minus 1 degree later in the week.  Visibility is variable, with mostly cloudy days and snow falling . Powder report Niseko 30th January

Temperatures were below zero overnight. The terrain is compact on groomed runs, and heavy off piste.   Fantastic conditions across all resorts today should see most, if not all lifts spinning and the Stomping Ground Terrain Park open by mid morning.   The  average wind chill is down to around minus 12 with a maximum temperature of minus 2.  Northerly winds should be generally light at around 10 15 km/hr. Visibility is good and could be effected by low cloud this afternoon.  Going back country, be wary of snowdrifts and unstable layers. Thurs 29th Jan Niseko Snow Report

A fantastic morning out yesterday, groomed runs were smooth and fresh tracks were thigh deep in areas. The afternoon saw terrain getting harder and fast. Some light snow is forecast for tonight with temperatures dropping over the weekend hopefully delivering some more of the white stuff.

Awesome snow and weather in Niseko 28th Jan

Snow fell most of the day yesterday. It's just simply amazing here. Hanazono has had around 70cms of fresh in the past 24hrs. Be the first to grab some untracked terrain and jump on one of the free buses that leave Hirafu for Hanazono just before 8am ready in time for first lift at 8:20am.

Snow Report 26th january - Niseko Japan

Temperatures were zero overnight, and the terrain is dry and powdery. Good conditions today should see most lifts spinning with the Terrain Park opening mid morning. The average wind chill is down to around minus 20 with a maximum temperature of minus 3 degrees. West south westerly winds should be around 25km/hr and gusty up top. Visibility is variable with low cloud and snow falling at times.

Niseko Weekly Snow Forecast for 24th January

With around 20 cms falling last night and temperatures dropping the conditions should be great out on the Mountain over the next few days. At present the wind is moderate and it is dumping snow.

Conditions in Niseko on the 23rd of January

Shower activity overnight and this morning has made the terrain rain effected.

Strong southerly winds around 50 km/hr will see most lifts closed however magic carpets at Hanazono with wind covers should be spinning for snowplay. Try out a snowtube or toboggan.

Wind speeds should ease leading into Saturday with southerly winds turning westerly bringing cold temperatures and more snow.

Peak gates were open the north face had some of the best conditions for fresh tracks yesterday. This morning is made for hero's turns on the groomed runs with partial cloud and sun. Possible snow showers this afternoon.

After mild temperatures sunday and early yesterday, we have a beautiful snowy morning with fresh powder turns. 10cms fell here at the base overnight with more up top and the snow should continue to fall through the day.

Epic powder in Niseko snow 17.01.09

It was epic out there the last couple of days conditions at there best! Storm cycles coming from the north delivered impressive amounts of powder well over a metre across the resorts. There was powder on groomed and Snow fell all day yesterday, the visibility was good considering.

Niseko - over a metre of fresh powder in the past 24hrs

Face shots all over the place. This cold front has delivered over a metre of fresh powder in the past 24hrs. Its time to grab the snorkel and get immersed in the white room. Top lifts were not open yesterday so there is so much deep untouched powder terrain out there.

Huge amounts of Snow Blanket Niseko 15th January

Wow.. I have had my warm up work out with the shovel! I couldn't find the car this morning as blizzard conditions absolutely dumped on Niseko delivering over 60cms of light snow here at the base with plenty more up top.

With a mere 8% water quantity, Niseko snow is always drier, providing some of the most exhilarating powder skiing and snowboarding experiences anywhere in the world. It is not unusual for guests to find themselves enveloped in snow, or as we say, "experiencing the White Room", as they bounce their way down the slopes.

Another fantastic blue bird day yesterday.. some areas were hard and icy yet some of the best turns were found on runs from Hirafu Gondala and some powder stashes to the skiers right of silver dream.

Yesterday was the perfect blue bird, back country madness, fresh tracks through the trees and nicely groomed runs. It is an amazing morning today and we should see more of the white stuff starting to fall again this afternoon.

Snow Report for Niseko Hanazono 7th January

The Conditions have been incredible here over the last few days. The peak has over a 3 metre base now and yesterday people were saying that the east face was the best they had skied and shredded 4 a couple of years. Waist deep White Room turns all the way down to Hanazono. Thats a 1000 metres of deep powder... :)

Niseko Weekly snow report 3rd january

Its a great day for skiing and boarding. A bustling place of excitement here at Hanazono. The new snowsports school boasts fantastic facilities and today Kamonohashi the mountain warrior will pop into the restaurant to entertain. There was dusting of new snow overnight here at the base and snow is still falling. Snow should fall right through next week so take advantage of the great conditions for the next couple of days as the forecast suggests possible wind speeds to pick up again around Thursday.
