A fantastic morning out yesterday, groomed runs were smooth and fresh tracks were thigh deep in areas. The afternoon saw terrain getting harder and fast. Some light snow is forecast for tonight with temperatures dropping over the weekend hopefully delivering some more of the white stuff.

Conditions in Niseko on the 23rd of January

Shower activity overnight and this morning has made the terrain rain effected.

Strong southerly winds around 50 km/hr will see most lifts closed however magic carpets at Hanazono with wind covers should be spinning for snowplay. Try out a snowtube or toboggan.

Wind speeds should ease leading into Saturday with southerly winds turning westerly bringing cold temperatures and more snow.

Niseko Hanazono Powder Report

Such a great weekend of skiing and boarding in Niseko! There was easily over a metre dry snow. We may have seen a few of the top lifts closed however we all had big smiles and could rave that strawberry fields was not only waist deep it was chest deep!
